Holding Company Module

The Financial Management (FMS) and Asset Liability Management (ALM) systems feature a Holding Company Module which combines multiple institutions for reporting purposes. The reports produced from the Holding Company Module can be used to compare 'like' accounts of the member institutions, as well as provide totals of combined institutions.

Reporting

The FMS holding company reports utilize all the reporting features of FMS, including over 100 report formats for the statement of condition, and capabilities for graphing, ratio analysis, and yield calculations.

The Holding Company Module transfers the account history information of each member institution account into a holding company account. The history information includes all 36 months of average balance, month-end balance, posted debits total, posted credits total, as well as the actual and projected budgets.

The history information of 'like' accounts can be combined into one holding company account, or can be transferred to individual holding company accounts, depending on reporting requirements.

The ALM holding company reports utilize all the reporting features of ALM, including:

  • On-line interactive reporting, which allows comparisons to be made between any combination of two holding company accounts, types, or categories through a display terminal;
  • Full scale stock reporting using eight form types, with capabilities for ratio analysis and yield calculations;
  • On-line modeling and balance projection, which allows future 'what if' strategies to be tested on holding company accounts through a display terminal.

The Holding Company module transfers all the maturity and repricing balances and rates of each member institution account into a holding company account, for each of three, unique 17-period schedules. The balances and rates include:

  • Current
  • Non-Maturing
  • Original Maturing
  • New Maturing
  • Total Static Repricing
  • Total Dynamic Repricing
  • Renewing
  • New
  • Projected
  • Total Maturing
  • Total New
  • Static Remaining
  • Dynamic Remaining
  • Projected Interest
  • Non-Renewing

The balances and rates of 'like' accounts can be combined into one holding company account, or can be transferred to individual holding company accounts, depending on reporting requirements.

Operational Features

Operational features of the module include the capability to create a disk or tape file for transferring the member institution information to the holding company. This feature is beneficial when the holding company is processed by a different computer center than a member institution.
